Featured in Paperback Bookshelf: Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury

“We need not to be let alone. We need to be really bothered once in a while. How long is it since you were really bothered? About something important, about something real?”

Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury is the book that I toss out as an answer to the question that so many book lovers dread: What’s your favorite book? As if we can choose only one!

I read this book for the first time many years ago and I was blown away. The whole idea behind the book is intriguing and terrifying and sometimes feels as if it’s becoming reality. This book is definitely one that I highly recommend, and I will continue to recommend it forever and ever.

Any person who truly loves books, admires books, appreciates the ability to read books owes it to their bookshelf to have a copy of this on it and to read it. If you’ve not watched the movie, I also recommend it. Of course the movie material strays a bit from the book in some details (as is typical with most adaptations), but the main ideas are there and played out. Seriously. Watch it. Read the book forst if you want, that’s fine. No judgement here.

So, it goes without saying that my love for this book (and its forever home in my heart) deemed it a necessary feature for Paperback Bookshelf.
